The Aria Story

The Aria Defrost System was designed out of the love of the Icon A5 and the philosophy of constant improvement. My name is Andrew Chapin, and I had the great privilege to visit the Icon A5 factory in Vacaville, California in the Summer of 2022. I have flown the craft (which belongs to a family friend) a number of times and always enjoy its smooth performance and stylish aesthetics.

After flying it for almost a year, the owner came to me and expressed concern about an incident that had recently occurred. Taking off of a lake one day, he and his copilot were almost completely blinded by the condensation build-up after they took off. Being an engineering student, I was able to come up with a simple solution, the Aria. It not only functions well, but with the help of advanced 3D printing technology, the Aria seamlessly integrates into the Icon's sensational design. The Icon is a fantastic aircraft, and it and its pilots deserve the best experience possible. Hence our motto:
